The Hygge team - spotlight on 2024

A busy 2023 resulted in a number of project highlights for the Hygge Property team including:

  • Completing Lydiard Park in Ballarat North with townhouses by Porter Architects. Residents have moved in with a journal article showcasing the newly styled spaces and townhouse living coming soon.

  • Starting construction of Lyons Place designed by Chamberlain Architects in Ballarat Central and civil construction works at The Roads in Mount Clear.

  • Launching sales of a unique collection of townhouses at The Village in Daylesford. Designed by leading sustainable architect Breathe, the project seeks to be at the forefront of environmentally conscious design without compromising on amenity.

  • Lodging a permit application for a new luxury apartment building on Little Ryrie Street, Hygge’s second Geelong project. Designed by leading architects Cera Stribley the proposed new building features just 27 oversized apartments in a vibrant location close to many of Geelong’s public art installations, laneway bars and restaurants.

Across the year, the Hygge team enjoyed participating in industry talks and events promoting the delivery of future-focused communities in regional locations and partnering with local community groups aligning with Hygge’s end goal of creating places where people love to live.

Highlights included several members of the Hygge team attending both Chillout and Wintersounds Festivals as part of the sponsorship of these local Daylesford events in 2023.

And on the horizon for 2024?

This year will see the completion of the townhomes at The Bottleworks in South Geelong by builder Glenvill Projects. Designed by Chamberlain Architects, the townhomes have been progressively taking shape with the team keen to reveal the finished homes.

Works on the 7 warehouse style apartments in the former Geelong Glass Works building will also continue. Structural reinforcement to retain the heritage fabric of the building, whilst facilitating its repurposing to residential apartments is underway. Watch this space!

In Central Geelong, Little Ryrie Street is moving towards securing planning approval and an anticipated market launch this year. Early interest for this project can be registered here.

Lyons Place will come out of the ground in Ballarat Central. Structural formwork is expected to be completed around the middle of the year, with the build anticipated to be completed by Figurehead Construction in the first half of 2025.

In Mount Clear, all civil construction works are programmed to be completed in the first half of this year at The Roads, which will enable purchasers to start the home building journey.

The Hygge team are continuing to work with local councils on several other future projects including Bakery Hill and Chisholm Green in Ballarat. And excitingly in 2024 as Hygge moves beyond regional Victoria, new investment opportunities will be announced in Adelaide - reach out to get involved!
