Little Ryrie Street revealed

A permit application for Hygge Property’s second Geelong project has been lodged - located at 1 Little Ryrie Street.

Designed by leading architects Cera Stribley the proposed new building features just 27 oversized apartments, many with excellent north-facing Corio Bay views.

The diverse layouts of the large two, three and four bedroom apartments have been deliberately designed to be family friendly or provide space for those seeking larger format apartment living.

The building is also planned to feature open and indoor communal spaces, including an exclusive residents-only wine room and lounge(!!), plentiful bike parking and car spaces for each apartment.

Arist impression of the proposed new building by Cera Stribley Architects.

A sensitive response to its heritage context, the building will retain or rebuild all original 1850s parts of the existing home, returning it closer to its original state. The attractive and robust curved design also intentionally draws the viewers eye down to the retained and reimagined former Wesleyan Minister’s home, acting as a unique entrance feature.

Little Ryrie Street will retain its low scale feel, with the apartment element of the new building set back from the street (above and beyond recommend planning thresholds).

Highly energy efficient, the building features an average 7.5* NatHERs rating and will be carbon-neutral in operation with green electricity the only source of energy.

These beautiful homes will offer a truly connected and vibrant lifestyle with the project site located close to many of Geelong’s public art installations, laneway bars and restaurants surrounding the foodie destination of Little Malop Street. It is also within easy reach of the GMHBA Stadium, the Geelong Train Station, hospitals and several schools.
